YAY! I totally didn't expect this but my parents are buying me a new CD player for the Jeep! One that has an auxiliary input! That means I can finally listen to my iPod in the car!! YAY!! :D :D :D
It is what I really wanted but wasn't going to ask for because it is so expensive! :D :D :D

New CD player successfully installed by moi! Its awesome! And it comes with a remote!!!

Today was productive (more precisely, the last 24 hours have been productive). My mom left me a list of things to do when I woke up. How fun! I did the entire list, and then went and got my new glasses (I have included a picture because someone asked for one. ) They make me look like a super geek, which is cool I guess, I kind of am one. My mom picked them out, I was going to get a thicker frame, but they made me look as white as printer paper (which isn't much of a feat...)
Earlier tonight was the annual college-age open house/Christmas get together at Brad and Sue's. It was a lot of fun. This year we had fire displays! In typical Bennett fashion (hippies!) there were lit candles everywhere, and it just so happened that the beautiful Moravian blanket that Sue has drapped on the rocking chair landed on a candle. The person in the seat didn't know until their jacket pocket was on fire. Well, luckily one of the people there worked for the fire department, and quickly sprang into action. He grabbed the blanket and ran outside with it (so glad we still have snow!) The fire alarms went off, but much too late for the lovely blanket! The 6'x8' blanket is now missing roughly 3' off the top. And the alarm successfully sent Justin's dog into a panic attack. Despite those things, it was hilarious! All we saw was a flaming blur running out the front door! lol!
After the commotion, I ended up driving to Greensboro to watch Inglorious Basterds with Dan, Ben and Renee!!!!! I am so happy that I got to see my friends!!!!! :D :D :D :D And Renee got me a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret! (Awesome! I love that store!!!)
After the movie I drove back to Winston. However, while driving down McGregor Rd a deer jumped out in front of me. I slammed on breaks and in the process my back tire grabbed a patch of ice and sent the back of the Jeep across the road. Luckily the only people on the road at 4am are just deer. I missed the deer, regained control of the Jeep and was on my way. But the fun doesn't end there! After getting back into the driveway I got out of the car with my hands full and as I was rounding the back of the Jeep, I slipped on another patch of ice. I'm glad I have plenty of ass, because I fell on it...and hit my head on my bumper. I kind of sat there for a couple minutes, and then started laughing. It was pretty funny. My Jeep is a tank, but I still manage to hurt myself in it. lol

I finally settled on the types of dogs I want. Whoever ends up marrying me will have to deal with it, the list is not changing. - Weimaraner - I've wanted one of these dogs for years now, and it will be my first.
- Vizsla - like the Weim, it is another gun dog. The structure of this dog reminds me of my current dog, Sable.
- Black Lab - They are the most lovable dogs in the world, and I love my Tubby very, very much. I also like how big they are!
- German Shepherd - Loyal and protective.
I think my only problem with this list is having a yard/farm big enough. They are also 4 of the most intelligent dog breeds, so keeping them out of trouble will be a task too. I will love them with everything that I am. :) However, I would like to get the Weim and Vizsla together, that way there isn't a large jealousy issue at first. I'm so excited about having multiple dogs one day!! :D
...and I think I pulled myself out of this icky funk I've been in! All it took was some Russian tea and thinking about my future dogs.

I got my rotation site for the summer! From 6/7/09-7/2/09 I'll be in Lexington, NC at the Lexington Memorial Hospital (part WFU system.)
You know what that means...I'll be eating LEXINGTON BBQ so much!!! I'm so excited! Lexington BBQ is state known and I love it! I can never make it to the bbq festival, so this is perfect! Not to mention the hospital is great! :) I'm excited! Its only 30 minutes from my parent's house.

This break so far has been blah, compared to what it should have been. I feel so tired all the time. I also am so edgy and off my rocker. The only possible reason for being like this is the fact that I miss school. More specifically, I miss not having the time to ponder my rather irritating quirks. I miss being happy (or at least so busy that I think I'm happy). This face (which has been present in many blog entries) has been quite the descriptor for me. -________________________________- If I could make it longer, and it still look like a lame face I would do so. I really dislike this uneasy feeling.
Ok, I'm going to attempt to get to sleep at a decent time tonight. I'm thinking about heading to Greensboro tomorrow, to get a new pair of tennis shoes, since mine have definitely seen some icky places recently and no amount of washing will take the stains out. Then later is the annual college-age open house at Brad and Sue's. It should be an interesting day, filled with meaningless human contact.
Moral of the story: If someone says you have complete control over your mood, they are lying to you. I really want to be happy and enjoy my break to the last mL, but I can't. This sucks.
Why am I complaining so much? This is so out of character. I need a vacation from my mind, and from writing in this silly little blog.

Ok, got Calvin Klein glasses (ready at 3pm tomorrow!!!), a Calvin Klein dress for my aunt's wedding AND a super comfy BCBG Max Azria sweater (for me to open on Christmas)!!!! Great day. Now I'm getting ready to go eat another pre-Christmas dinner. This is the first break I haven't had to work. Honestly the money would be nice, since I'm flat broke, but it is so nice to have a mental break!! :)

The Jeep is a dream. I didn't have any problems tonight, but I know many didn't have such good luck . :( My thoughts are definitely about those.
But still, tonight was definitely not as fun as it should have been...I didn't get to watch that movie either. Maybe I'll watch it tomorrow?
I can't wait to go back to CH in a couple days, I need some peace and quiet. My family is very loud. I love them all though. Tomorrow is my grandparent's (mom's side) 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone will be here, hopefullly. It just depends if my grandparents can get off their mountain tomorrow. The Piedmont Triad got a mere 6", my grandparents got 1½ ft!!!!!! I bet the mountains were so beautiful. I wish I could have been up there.

Mortal Treason :: Worse Case Scenario |

Today has been.....well, it has been interesting. I went Christmas shopping with my mom, dad and baby brother (who gets his license on Monday, so stay off the roads if you live in Clemmons/Winston Salem!). We were all grumpy, and it makes me dislike the holiday season even more.
But, I did get a great pair of NorthFace gloves and I'm probably getting the 2 ton jack I asked for!! Now when I get a flat, I will actually be able to lift the Jeep (which weighs the same as my parent's 2004 Suburban! Thanks to having everything made out of cast steel.) I'm also getting a new pair of glasses, which I am excited about! I might actually wear them to school....might.....
I'm supposed to go play Nazi Zombies with Dan and Justin tonight, and then watch Dead Snow, but we can't get a hold of Dan. It really sucks that all this snow fell now, and not on Christmas. There have been so many wrecks and accidents, and I feel terrible for those people, especially during such hard financial times. I hope all of my friends are safe.
And in light of that, I'm about to go drive the Jeep in the snow and ice. Wish me luck. The thing is a tank, but it has slid before and it was scary as crap.

I'm getting ready to do exactly what I didn't want to. I'm going shopping with my mom AND dad. Needless to say I dislike clothes shopping as it is. Someone please save me.
...and this is why I shouldn't be talked to within 30 minutes of waking up. I'm mentally not there, so I agree to do things I wouldn't normally do.
UGH. I know the song I want to listen to, but I can't remember it. I went through my ENTIRE In Flames collection and I CANNOT find it. I listened to it 2 days ago....come on!
To continue the random bits of information...I'm kind of glad I'm not in CH right now. Even with 4 wheel drive I don't think I could have gotten out of my apartment complex. I wouldn't want to go down the massive hill that is the only way out for me.
